Price:Free
Ratings:★★★★

Pros:

  1. Novice reading experiences by flipping through your fingers, users can read information very easily even with one hand.
  2. Beautiful & modern interface design
  3. With instapaper & read it later, mute authors to give consideration to reading habits.
  4. Able to sync iPhone & iPad to provide a unify experience
Suggestions:
  1. Kind of complicated to navigate through contents for the first few times, with so many arrows on the interface, although users can navigate anywhere easily, but might feel lost sometimes.
  2. Users can't be sure if their tap will work or not, no obvious indicator or design on tappable area.
  3. Actions are not consistent enough, take author images for example, tap images will lead to content preview or mute page.

Cover photos can be tapped to view the contents.

By flip through the page, you will see next page, each grid is a feed.
--
The right upper red ribbon is available anywhere inside Flipboard; however, other functions are provided from page 2.

  2. The same as 1
  3. Refresh all the contents
  4. Name the number of pages
  5. Settings to manage accounts and so on.

I guess the content feeds are provided based on the location instead of your system language, I live in Taiwan, so most of the available contents are in Chinese and websites in Taiwan, that's quite thoughtful.

Besides messages, you can also attach photos from your phone to it. When you attach a photo, Flipboard will shorten the URL.

Take Jamie Oliver's post for example to demo for the viewing experience. Obviously you can tap thumb to like this post easily. Originally 1 & 2 belongs to the same article, Flipboard separate the link and content and break it into those 2 parts

  2. Tap to the content without comment and reply

--
  1. View comments and reply to the post
  2. Go to section or mute the author so that he/she won't appear on your Flipboard
  3. Like this post
  4. Share this post
Tap "Show section" to this author's feed.
Tap to view replies and comment on the post, you will see the list who likes the post as well.
The different between share options is I have signed up for Instapaper to use "Read Later", since the information nowadays is so overwhelming and consider the mobile dynamic environment, it's a nice feature.

When you tap on the author image and enter the header, you will find out a "+" next to the author name, tap to add this feed to your Flipboard to view it individually  as below
